Making dreams happen: Supporting Our Local Softball Star’s World Cup Dream
At PNP Constructions, we believe that the biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams. We are thrilled to support and encourage extraordinary young talent like Evan Wulff and help fulfill his dream to represent Australia in the Under-18 Men’s Softball World Cup in Mexico.
Community is the foundation of success and when people come together as a community, they make great things happen.
Evan’s story is one of resilience and sheer determination. Despite suffering a significant injury that left him hospitalised for months, his unwavering passion for the sport rallied the tight-knit Camden community. Local businesses, residents, and organizations came together to fundraise for Evan. As Camden’s Local Business of the Year, PNP Constructions took great pride in matching the fundraising effort, making Evan’s dream to represent Australia at the World Cup in Mexico a reality.
Upon hearing Evan’s story, Co-Founders Marcus and Eva Pavlakis of PNP Constructions were quick to offer their support. As leaders in NDIS Home Modifications and recipients of Camden’s Local Business of the Year, they pledged to match the community’s fundraising efforts dollar for dollar.
“We were impressed by his passion and determination. As a local business leader and member of the community, we believe in supporting the next generation and helping our youth achieve their goals and dreams. This is an incredible opportunity for Evan. We wish him and the team every success in Mexico and hope he brings home the Gold.” said Marcus Pavlakis, Co-Founder PNP Constructions.
“I read Evan’s story in CVI’s newsletter and felt compelled to lend our support. My husband has always been passionate about supporting talented Aussie kids that are wanting to go overseas for sports. When he was young, he went overseas to play a professional sport, and knows all too well how hard and expensive it is for the kids and their families. It was always his vision to build something to support kids with dreams. To sponsor Evan was the least we could do. We wish him all the very best and hopefully this is the beginning of many more successful opportunities to come.” said Eva Pavlakis, Co-Founder PNP Constructions.
Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of the community, an impressive $15,000 was raised and Evan is now ready to step onto the world stage. Joining his teammates in Australia for preliminary training and warm-up matches in early November, they will embark on their journey to Mexico for final preparations and the World Cup event, set to take place from November 11-19.
