Compliance in Building & Construction
At PNP institute we offer four specific Units of Competency related to planning, managing WHS and legal requirements in the Building and Construction Industry brought to you by industry experts. Our short courses are designed to fit around your busy schedule. Our tailored approach to addressing specific conditions associated with building and construction reports, standards, management and industry legal compliance. Our courses provide people in the industry, such as builders or site managers in the Building and Construction Industry to gain knowledge and understanding related to a complex range of legislative and workplace requirements to manage risk in building and construction workplaces. Participants will gain the in-depth knowledge needed under through engagement of WHS experts and lawyers that are invited as keynote speakers to our course.
Choose from the following nationally recognised Units Of Competency:
- CPCCBC4007 – Plan Building or Construction work
- CPCCBC4002 – Manage work health and safety in the building and construction workplace
- CPCCBC4009 – Apply legal requirements to building and construction projects
- CPCCBC5007 – Administer the legal obligations of a building or construction contractor
This course is suited to Individuals who presently work in the Building and Construction environment or are seeking to elevate their skills and knowledge required to move into roles such as Project Managers, Coordinators, WHS Auditors and Supervisors and Builders. The course can be customised to suit your organisation and delivered on-site.
Each unit is delivered in two (2) half-day sessions over 14 days and can be delivered classroom based (evenings) at PNP Institute or your workplace.
Additional self-paced study including completion of assessment tasks is essential to complete each course.
Some assessment components will need to be performed at the the learners workplace construction site or alternatively at one of PNPs sites.
Learners have up to six (6) months to complete each Unit of Competency.
On successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment of the completed course.

Cost: in class – $495 (GST exempt) per UOC, workplace based – POA
Entry Requirements: Sound working experience around compliance incl. WHS in the building and construction industry is required to enter this course. A pre-course interview will be held prior to enrolment. Additionally participants will be required to complete an LLN test prior to enrolment. Participants should have a reasonable level of computer skills.
