The Challenge
PNP Group was contacted by Geoff and Julianne in February 2022 after a lengthy dispute with their insurer, for over 12 months. After they had been denied for a major section of the works, they were ready to give up on seeking their claim, until someone recommended PNP Group and they realised they had another option.
During insurance disputes, most people rely on the insurer’s assessors to come in and evaluate the issues and damage. However, these assessors are there to represent the insurer and their best interests. Gaining the services of an independent building assessor was an essential difference for Geoff and Julianne in their insurance claim, bringing them on an even keel with the insurance company.
The Insurance Dispute
PNP Group reviewed our clients claim and undertook an inspection of the property. Through this, they were able to identify problem areas, cause of damage and solutions that had not been presented by the insurer’s assessors. PNP took over the claim on Geoff and Julianne’s behalf while liaising with the insurer to ensure a positive outcome.

Throughout this time, the PNP team was in constant communication with our clients, offering them full transparency throughout the process so they knew exactly what was going on and had the power to resolve the claim on their terms. After submitting our report and meeting with the insurance assessors, the decision was overturned, and the majority of our remediation were approved and covered by the client’s insurance provider.
In the end, the difference for our clients was having an independent assessor with extensive knowledge of the standards and building codes upon which the insurer was relying to deny the claim. By challenging these notions of compliance successfully, PNP were able to ultimately get them exactly what they were entitled to under their insurance policy.
The Remedial Work
After a successful negotiation with the insurer, PNP Group were able to hand the work over to the Constructions team, representing all aspects of the demolition and rebuild for the affected areas. PNP worked with our client and the client’s architects on the design and successfully managed the renovation and upgrade works with PNP’s proffered trades as well as the insurer’s builder for our clients.
Not only were PNP able to strip out and renovate an entire bathroom and powder room, but the team was also able to renovate the entire kitchen and replace the full flooring in an incredible 12-week period, pushing to the deadline of the Christmas period. As a result, our clients were able to enjoy a big family Christmas in their beautifully renovated home.

The Result
