Operating under a Quality Framework, that is fully compliant with Aged Care and NDIS standards, PNP Group recognises that it is our responsibility to ensure that individuals with disabilities have dignified, fair, economical, and physically feasible access to their homes. By understanding project and compliance requirements, as well as the client’s individual needs, we provide tailored home modifications that maintain the highest integrity and value of the work, service, and property.

Background & Challenge

In a recent project in Fairfield, PNP took on a property that required a full renovation of the laundry and bathroom, by moving an internal wall to secure shower space in the building compartment and to ensure compliance with NDIS Modification Guidelines and AS 1428 – Design for Access and Mobility, as well as provide enhanced accessibility to the family bathroom for the NDIS participant.
PNP Group ensured compliance with NDIS requirements, working within a confined space and ensuring it was fit for dual purpose as both a bathroom and laundry. The team also had to work within tight budget constraints, with minimal funding allocated from the NDIS to create an accessible, functional, and stylish design.

Our Solution

With extensive building experience in mobility, access home modifications and improvements standards, we offer tailored, innovative & customised designs, individualised based on your accessibility modifications to increase your quality of life.

In this project, our solutions involved utilising smart space-saving solutions, to increase property value. We achieved this by adding a high-end visual effect featuring the use of contemporary tiles, whilst increasing the area’s functionality to meet our client’s needs.

With PNP’s extensive resources and experience in managing projects for the Aged Care and NDIS sector, our specialists were able to present the client with a home modification that improved their home living experience through:

  • Improved visual aesthetics using stylish, non-slip (P4 rated) RAK Ceramics Beige Matt floor with help from Tile Power Gregory Hills,
  • Increased accessibility through open space design,
  • Client engagement on Calacutta Italian Marble Look Polished Rectified Porcelain Wall increasing the value for money on the total modification,
  • High quality, cost-effective design with the project, and materials all within budget constraints.

Through the PNP team’s comprehensive support from ideation to execution which involved coordinating with occupational therapists, and scoping building modifications with designs that achieved compliance with building standards, we took into account all considerations of the client and achieved a stunning renovation.

By the end of the project, PNP built a great relationship with our client and helped them significantly increase their property value with our smart solutions and design.
